  12. I have had the first problem and not the second one.  I
  13. suspect dropped chars has to do with faulty flow control
  14. implementation in the driver.

  16. Try using the polled driver (as someone else noted) and see
  17. if the dropped chars drop out.

  23. You mean you can't even get in the debuger by hittin ctl-
  24. alt-esc?  If you can do that and find out where the kernel
  25. is hung perhaps someone else can figure out why.
